I came across an article on AdAge.com the other day about millennials and what employers should know about them when looking to hire. Being part of the millennial group myself, this article stirred up a lot of thoughts on my own experience in being a recent grad coming into the workforce. I want to preface this by saying this piece reflects my own personal opinions. These are not facts, but my lessons and take-aways from my own experiences.
I have been lumped into this group of young adults with, let’s face it, a horrible reputation. I’m not denying that my generation grew up with parents who said we could do anything and called us all special and everyone was a winner. We can’t change the way we were brought up, but we can prove that we are to be taken seriously in the work force.
